Saw reconditioning – grinding and leveling machines

All WINTERSTEIGER grinding machines are designed to be operated on your own. Operation is intuitive and you can save grinding programs for each of your blade types. Alternatively, WINTERSTEIGER Solutions offers a full sharpening service from US headquarters at Union Grove Saw & Knife in Union Grove, North Carolina or the warehouse in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Micro Grinder VNC is designed for band saw blades (DSB) and offers the widest range of dimensions (widths of 50–300 mm and all lengths starting from 4,500 mm). The Micro Grinder NC has been developed for frame saw blades (DSG) with specially tailored parameters for the narrower, precision-manufactured frame saws. 

The Micro Grinder VNC is suitable for all dimensions from a blade length of 4,500 mm and widths of 50 to 300 mm as a profile solution for fully automated NC sharpening. The Micro Grinder HT DSB is a good choice for smaller band widths (55–80 mm) and lower sharpening volumes. 

Three different grinding discs are used depending on the cutting material. Corundum discs are for set/upset-forged saws, CBN discs (Borazon) are for Stellite®-tipped blades with up to 1,000 sharpening cycles per disc, and diamond discs are exclusively for carbide.
